The Loughs Agency has kindly offered to provide a demonstration of smolt trapping for any members interested in seeing this work in practice. This is an excellent opportunity to learn more from the Agency’s science team about how and why smolt trapping is carried out.

The team will be emptying the smolt trap at the counter around lunchtime (1.30 p.m.) on Friday 22 May 2026. Members are very welcome to attend at the counter site, where they can observe the process and engage with the team to ask questions.
